ABOUT THE ARTIST|
I began to seriously explore my passion for photography in the
mid 1990's. I learned the technical requirements by attending photo
workshops, taking college classes, reading numerous books, and studying anything
and everything I could to understand the mystery of light and how to capture the
essence of it in a photograph.
It's one thing to visualize what you hope to capture, and another thing altogether to successfully create the image. I have found photography to be a great mixture of both art and science, each with it's own challenges.
Whether in my own backyard or the remote Serengeti Plains of East Africa, the experiences and education I've gained
while pursuing my passion have been a great adventure.
My bachelors degree is in accounting and computer science, which I currently use in my daytime profession as an Accounting Manager for an energy company in Omaha, Nebraska where I have worked for 32 years. I hope to devote my time to photography and travel when I retire. I started my photography business in 1998 when I began selling my images at
art shows throughout the Midwest. In addition to juggling two full-time jobs, I have three grown children and four beautiful grandchildren.
